{~Chinese New Year Hectic Times~} I still type 2009 in the date. Life in JC during Chinese New Year isn't very much smooth and slow. Tutorials and lectures make me sleep. And I can't ever have enough sleep at night. Why can't time just stop at night when I sleep so that I can sleep for 48 hours straight. Was chosen as the GP representative, so I'm in charge of collecting money for Newsweek, and other stuff related to GP. It's funny how I can suck at things like GP and yet be the representative for it. Well, because my CT cum GP tutor, Mrs Too, is a very nice person. Same goes to my CT cum Economics cum Project Work tutor, Mr Oliver. Went to Mr Ang's house on 20 February with the 2H'07 peeps like usual. Chatted a lot there, random topics. Then went back to Northpoint to have dinner. Reached home rather early, so I slacked my time away. Did pretty much nothing for the rest of the period. Study, study, more studies. Japanese lessons can be quite fun when we start laughing like possessed people. Made a few new friends from other JCs there. :D Went back to CCHY on 22 February to help out here and there with the visit of the Japanese Lion Dance guy. Sakai Namiko-san was there, so I didn't have to do translations. Just chatted with the Japanese people there. Met Suzuki-sensei while going home on Tuesday. She walked really fast, so we had to run up to chat with her. Suzuki-sensei is the best sensei to chat with. Things like JC life, etc. Wednesday was slacky, so I came home at like 12 to sleep. Slept for like 5 hours straight. I was just that tired, really. Thursday was fun at MOELC. Laughed like we never had. We felt retarded, but it was fun nonetheless. Rena almost had another heat exhaustion from laughing. Her temperature rose to 37.4 in the air-con room. She removed the thermometer to prevent herself from being sent home for having a fever. XD Two possessed people in class. Friday was very long. Tutorials for Economics, GP, Mathematics and a Maths lecture. Then there was Alternative Assessment for Chemistry from 3 to 5PM. Then we randomly decided to go for a choir audition. The guy said "Good" at my lower notes, but the higher ones were kind of sad. I just can't sing in that condition. I could sing better during normal singing sessions. He later commented that it didn't sound "very comfortable, but at least you're not off-tune." No, but I'm not going to join Choir because it has practices on Tuesdays. Today, went for tightening braces. It's like really tight now. I can feel it. Dr Anna said my brushing for the inside wasn't very good. I don't know, I brush very diligently. I guess it's the toothbrush. Got purple rubber bands today. XD Came home to sleep. But woke up with a splitting headache and lack of appetite. I'm like dying. XD Okay, going back to CCHY again tomorrow for some Chinese New Year Alumni thing. No idea what you call it in English. So I shall sign off here. Good Day. posted at 8:36 PM

{~Chinese New Year~} Happy Chinese New Year~ It's the last day of the CNY holidays, school's beginning again tomorrow. Life can be so torturous at times. 8 February: Had a whole day of DISC profiling workshop. Saw my classmates for the first time, my class was 1011. Managed to find out my behaviour, which, like the one I've done less than a year ago, was I/C. Dominant I. Expected from me. Had some activities in our classes, then I had to rush off to MOELC to take my Japanese competency test to decide if I can take H2 Japanese as one of my H2 subjects. Managed to get through it, it was harder than the 'O' Levels, seriously. I did quite well, then I thought. 9 February: School ended rather early, but due to the bunch of notoriously-draggy people who cannot decide where to go after school, we whiled away a lot of time. Went to J8 for Pizza Hut lunch, then wasted more time waiting for nothing so important. Went back to Khatib, Jialing had to go back to CCHY for band, so seeing that it's already 3+PM and that there's no more time for me to sleep, I went back to take a look at CCS. Nothing was going on, people just practising on their own, the teacher wasn't there, only Yu Lan was there with Weifeng. They looked bored, so I sat down and chatted with them for quite some time. Went off to look for Mdm Goh at the hall, since I haven't seen her ever since the O's. Chatted for a bit, she told me that some Japanese people would be visiting the school for an exchange with the school's Lion Dance troupe. Nothing much went on, so I went down to the staff room. Managed to get access into the staff room, and I was looking for Mrs Catherine Chan, but she wasn't around. But I saw Mdm Sue instead, so I went over for a chat. She told me a lot of important things for JC life, so we spent quite some time there. Ended up going back home at 6. 10 February was a rest day, went home so early to sleep. 11 February: Had my first H2 Japanese lesson. College ended early, so I had to while away time in J8 again. Nothing to do, just wasting time and money having lunch at Manhattan. The serving was generous, but I don't like the oil. Went over for Japanese class, ended at 7:30PM. Lessons were rather relaxed and going slow. The sensei looked rather friendly, that's nice. 12 February: Chinese New Year celebrations at NYJC. The concert was short, and ended at 9AM. We rushed off back to CCHY because we had to attend a prize presentation ceremony. Ended up reaching at 10AM instead of 9:45AM which we were told to reach at. Went up to the Lecture Theatre in our JC uniforms, and sat around to take attendance. Prize presentation went on first, so we got to watch the rest of the concert behind. CCHY Alumni rocks. Joined the Youth Wing and got an alumni tee for $15. >_> Went to have Sakae buffet lunch at J8 (AGAIN), had a filling feast stuffing sushi down my mouth. I love sushi. Lunch ended at around 6PM, ate so much I was so bloated. Xueying came over after her lessons, everyone was ready, some went home, while Duncan, Marvin, Xinglai, Lingshan, Xueying and me went to Orchard because Lingshan and Marvin wanted to shop for New Year clothes. Ended up with nothing for Marvin, but a one piece dress for Lingshan and some necklaces shared by the girls. Took a bounce train back to Khatib and reached around 10PM. 13 February: Chinese New Year Eve! Woke up rather early, prepared for some random things here and there. Had nice lunch at home and sat around. Went over to Grandma's place to play a bit of poker cards before we set out for Hotel Intercontinental for our reunion dinner. Had nice food there, although the service was a bit slow due to the number of customers. Walked over to the Kwan Im Tong Hood Cho Temple to pray like usual. Then walked around Bugis, bought a T-Shirt with hood at the Giordano at Bugis Junction before heading home. Spent my countdown in the shower. I came out at 0001. =.= 14 February: Chinese New Year cum Valentine's Day! What a combination. The Chinese New Year mood was so much stronger that I seriously forgot that it was Valentine's Day. Went to my maternal grandma's house in the afternoon. Had lunch there, and talked for a bit. Headed off to my paternal grandma's house later. They played mahjong, while I slept for a few hours straight before dinner. Had dinner, then poker cards again. Managed to get triple 7, but still ended up losing $10. T_T Spent a lot of time trying to take a nice family photo, but ended up with no satisfying results. 15 February: Second day. Slept in and had lunch at home. Headed off to my granduncle's house. Did practically nothing there because I barely had any topics to talk to the relatives about. Stayed until 8+PM because everyone else was chatting away and it was not nice to leave. Left, then visited my grandma's house for the third day in a row to play poker cards and take more family photos. Finally managed to get a satisfying one. Won a bit of bucks here. 16 February: Last day of holidays. Woke up quite early to prepare to go to Mdm Yeo's house. Met at Sembawang, though two people were late by half an hour. Went over to Mdm Yeo's house, played poker cards, again. Managed to win $20+ at first, but because Dad wasn't here to pick me up early because my brother was playing DotA, I lost those money all back and ended up losing $6.50. =.= Shoot. Went to Bugis to find my Aunt, then went to the temple to pray again. Had McDonald's for lunch/dinner, then went home. Completed my Maths tutorial homework for tomorrow, and relaxing now. Tutorials start tomorrow, life is not going to go easy anymore. *sighs* Wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year, and a prosperous new year ahead with loads of good fortune. Good Day! posted at 10:10 PM

{~Happy Birthday to Sakai Izumi of ZARD~} 坂井泉水さん、お誕生日おめでとうございます!時が経つのが早くて、もう2010年になりましたが、天国でいかがお過ごしでしょうか。 Lessons have started proper in school. Orientation was over by 2 February, and I would say that it was fun. Especially the disco night. Reminds me a lot about the CCHY Graduation Night 2009. Without the Academy Awards decorations, but a whole lot more of sweat. We thought that they would play the song, A Night to Remember, during disco, but no, they didn't, during disco. Instead they played it to accompany their last performance from the 31st Student Council, for their mass dance last year. Being the very bonded and high Chung Cheng Alumni we are, Marvin, Anna, Lingshan and me went to the back of the hall while everyone was already seated. We started to dance our Graduation Night dance, while the OGLs and the Student Council danced their version. Later I went to pull Jiansheng and Qunjie out to join us. It was crazy but a whole load of CCHY fun. Then lessons started the next day in NYJC. GP lectures, random talks here and there. They were all lectures for now, tutorials only begin after Chinese New Year. Everyone was okay. Just okay. Yesterday, my schedule ended at 1100, but I had to stay until 1230 because 1) I cannot leave the school before its "Official Dismissal Time" at 1230, and 2) I had to wait for everyone else who had Biology/Physics lectures. In the mean time, I did my Chemistry lecture work, and SMSed Duncan to make sure that he came over to Bishan to join all of us for lunch since his school released early too. Xueying didn't have school nor work yesterday, so I asked her to call Lingshan and the rest if they wanted to meet at Junction 8 for lunch together. So it sort of became a 4H'09 lunch @ Junction 8. They left rather early though, so we just walked around for a bit more before going back. It started pouring when we were on the MRT, so I took it all the way to Northpoint. I wanted to borrow a book from the library, but I couldn't find any good ones for now, so I left empty-handed. <_< So, why the reading groove? Because I borrowed and read Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac from the library the week before. It was made into a movie in Japan starring Horikita Maki, Matsuyama Kenichi, Tegoshi Yuya and some Caucasian guy. It sounded like a lot of fun, so I borrowed the book and read it. It was an awesome read because the plot was full of twists and turns. I'm really anticipating the movie right now, but it's not going to come out anytime soon. Especially the DVD. Today's a free Saturday, went out to Northpoint in the morning, went to find Mr Goh at Burger King for nothing, then went shopping for New Year goods. Chinese New Year in one week! Good Day! posted at 9:06 PM
