Diary Entry - 27 July 2009
[~Happy 16th Birthday to Me~]

One year has passed since my last birthday. I'm utterly astounded by the passing of time. This year hasn't been that great a year for me, but well, I hope it turns out well as I turn older.

Anyways, to express my gratitude to all who have wished me a Happy Birthday, I shall list them out one by one in chronological order.

Jane, Yathei, Dad, Xinglai, Qunjie, Chongwei, Duncan, Marvin, Javier, Anna, Yencheng, Alpha, Jasmine, Jian Sheng, David (from J4.16), Kai Ling, Hei Kern, Diana, Ziyun, Winnie, Mum, Xueying, Edsel, Veronica, THANKS A LOT. :D I hope I didn't miss out any, sincerely sorry if I did. XD

So counting back, there were quite a lot of people there. :D

Well, got 2 presents from the guys, the first being this Winnie the Pooh head thing which was the same as the one Pauline got for me last year, and the other was the big-footed dinosaur at Popular. Then Anna also sent me an Amethyst on Facebook, LOL. Mum gave me an angpao when I got back home. Thanks everyone for the thoughts. :D

Came home after school to leave my bag at home, and went out for lunch at Ei8hteen Chefs at GV Yishun. Well, the food was nice and affordable. But it's just out of the way since I stay so near school. Went around to shop for a bit in Northpoint before heading back home.

So tired after reaching home. I dozed off on the sofa for an hour or so. Woke up and went on to play Pokemon Platinum. I feel like beating Cynthia today because it is a special day. And it was 2 years since I first defeated the Ruby WEAPON in Final Fantasy VII, so I must win by today!

Alright now, I shall go grab a bite or something. Really, thanks everyone for the kind wishes. I shall work hard to become a better person this year.

ADD-ON: Okay, also thanks to a very special person by the name of Edmund Goh Di Xian who was planning to send me a 16 Happy Birthday SMSes at 2359 hours. Well, I had a hard time receiving 16 SMSes though. It was a nice intention, THANKS ED-CHAN. XD

More school tomorrow. I'm 16!

Diary Entry - 26 July 2009
[~Another Grandma & Another Year Older~]

Woke up early today, hoping to catch the 30 minutes of Forensic Heroes II I missed on Wednesday, but I still missed it because I got the timing wrong. Or rather, Dad got it wrong.

So I went on to play Pokemon Platinum. Cleared Victory Road today, and went on to fight the Pokemon League. The Elite Four was not too much of a problem with Giratina on my side, but Cynthia's Garchomp got me dead. *sighs* Indeed, my levels are too low. My highest level was 52, Garchomp was at 62. O_o

Went out at around 2 to my maternal grandma's place to visit her. Seemed like her mental condition has deteriorated further since the last time we visited her. She could still recognize us, but we heard that she has gotten a little paranoid over things. And she could not sit still at one chair, she had to ask the maid or anyone else to help her to the other chair or into the bedroom every 5 minutes or so just because she didn't like that seat. And she has lost the strength to walk safely alone or to shower herself. Her maid had to aid her in everything. It was sad to see her like that.

My Mum's sister also seemed to have somehow managed to hide her grief about her boyfriend's death just yesterday, and she could even laugh and joke a bit. Indeed, the Chinese saying that misfortune never comes alone is no doubt correct.

Well, after we left Grandma's place, we went back to Northpoint for some sort of dinner at KFC. Then went off to shop for a while without buying anything for myself, then we headed home.

I didn't even realise it. 12 midnight passed when I was washing my face. Look, I've got no life.

I didn't even remember that it was already my birthday until Jane SMSed me to wish me Happy Birthday. Thanks so much, old pal. XD

Okay, I shall sign off now to "enjoy" my birthday. Didn't manage to do any work this whole weekend. Crap. XD

Diary Entry - 25 July 2009
[~Long Day with Grandma~]

What a long day it was... Went out at 11+am to Grandma's old home to help her move some stuff. Some to her new home, some to the dump, some to the salvation army, a lot to my house. >_>

Spent a lot of time there, at least 2 hours or so. Then it was lunch at Crystal Jade. Treat from Aunt. :D Didn't eat a lot, but the bill was quite there. Went around Junction 8 to look for a cake and in the end, got this Nutella cake (the name was that) from Polar and went to Grandma's new home.

Man, condominiums are great. I love the balcony. The breeze, the view... Sat outside there for almost all the time there, playing Pokemon Platinum on my laptop. Caught Giratina. Wahaha. Some nice photos around there...

There's the crescent during sunset. The two layers of colours, what I saw in Japan appeared again here.

And then it was cake cutting ceremony for my pre-birthday celebration! 2 days prior.

Sorry for it being tilted, I'm too lazy to turn it over. Do it yourselves ya? LOL.

And after eating cake, we went out for Bak Kut Teh at a famous shop around there. Well, don't really like those food, but it was my dinner. Ate and went home. Reached home at around 2330. Showered and stuff, just came online at 12am or so. My eyes are sort of closing.

And the plans for Sakura tomorrow is sort of cancelled because we are all so tired. Haha. Well, might go visit my maternal Grandma tomorrow though.

Yes, and Mum received this piece of news through the phone just now at Grandma's new place. My Mum's younger sister's boyfriend just passed away due to a heart attack this morning or so. Right one month after Michael Jackson and of a similar cause of death. Though I do not know him well, but still, rest in peace.

Diary Entry - 23 July 2009
[~Racial Harmony Day 2009~]

Once again, that time of the year when the class goes crazy over getting costumes from all over the place. Racial Harmony Day 2009~

Well, Miss Fanny See is no longer teaching, but we made it a point to uphold her legacy and the whole class managed to grab some costumes by today. So eventually, we won the Best-Dressed Class award! Well done 4H'09! :D

Mdm Connie Yeo also won the Best-Dressed Female Teacher award. Apparently she was quite shocked to know about it as well, and commented that "Huh? Just wearing this and I win a prize?"

Well, it was a tiring day alright. Right after photo taking for the best-dressed class, I rushed home and out again for Japanese class. Yes, I was very tired, but was quite looking forward to the lessons.

Went through 8 sentence patterns today, somehow Sensei managed to squeeze it all in.

Yes, and I got back my results for Chemistry today too. The total is 80.8/100, which I suppose is the second in class, following Sheryl who beat me by one decimal place or something around there. :D

Also borrowed Totto-chan from the MOELC library today. The story seems long, but I might just finish reading it somehow. Going to bring it to school to read it.

Planning to sleep earlier today, which is now. So beat... I shall retire early. Good Day~

Diary Entry - 22 July 2009
[~Overcast Solar Eclipse~]

Everyone was talking about it. That a solar eclipse will occur today in the morning and that it will visible in Singapore. Well, I think it was, but this very morning, the rain came gushing down like a storm. Well, I love that weather, if only I could sleep a little longer. The strong winds crashing against my window and the rain playing their best tune was so captivating.

Well, still had to go to school nonetheless. Got back quite some results today. Got 78/100 for Physics, at least I got an A1 for not studying... I thought I flunked it for sure. Well, Heikern got 80.

Then Social Studies was it, I PASSED. And got B4. 14/25 for SBQ and 17/25 for SEQ. Quite satisfied, but I know I can do better. :D

English was okay, considering that many people didn't manage to pass the Comprehension section, I'm quite pleased with passing both parts. The Comprehension was a killer.

Still a B4 for Combined Humanities. *sighs* And B4 for English. And I guess it's another B for Higher Chinese. *sighs sighs*

I wonder how 'O' Levels will be for me. Sounds like some culling session.

Racial Harmony Day celebrations tomorrow, let's hope that the whole class goes in ethnic costumes and let's win the best dressed class award!!!

Alright now, there's still Japanese class tomorrow. Somehow I'm looking forward to it every week. Going to borrow Totto-chan tomorrow~

Diary Entry - 20 July 2009
[~Devastated & Drained~]

Somehow today seemed so tiring... Well, partially because I slept at 1.30am in the morning, so was totally drained in the morning. The first paper we got back today was devastating enough to send chills down my spine, or something like that.

Higher Chinese Paper 2: 68/110. Devastating? Well, the China-born people managed to at least get some 70+ marks. This paper was a killer, and as expected, Mdm Goh edited the answer for one question away. So we got back 1 more mark. Was actually having 67/100. T_T

Next was Mathematics. Got back our Paper 2s. Did badly for A-Maths Paper 2 as expected, because of the diarrhoea and stuff. 68/100... Well, at least the combined results got me an A1 after all. 76.58 or somewhere there. :D

E-Maths was good, 89/100 for Paper 2, and the 78/80 for Paper 1. Too lazy to calculate.

Had like 5 periods of Physics today. Two periods right after recess, and because Mdm Yeo was absent, Mr Lee decided to take over the last three Chemistry periods as well. Did a lot of stuff, but I was so tired I could not concentrate at all. And the heat was enveloping the classroom like usual. It didn't rain today.

I want rain. I love rainy days. Just sitting in my room, listening to the rain knocking on my window pane, playing a rhythm that no human can imitate exactly, the feeling is just so calming and soothing. Rain, fall on this Earth.

Although it was a bit bright and dazzling this afternoon, I decided to catch up on some sleep because I was really beat. Thought I could wake up in around 1 or 2 hours' time, ended up sleeping for around 3. Wahaha, it was energizing, albeit time consuming. Is the word used like that?

School starts late tomorrow, which is good news for everyone. Late school = more sleep = happier me. :D

I just hope I can stay happy all the while. Sometimes reality just strikes too hard.

Anyways, added BAMBINO and Hikari from Breakerz to the playlist, and changed the banner to a GIF image, now it changes between ZARD, Vincent Valentine of Final Fantasy VII, Hanabishi Recca (and the 8 flame dragons + Yanagi) from Flame of Recca and Queen Diana of MAR. Wanted to make a Dark Mousy of D.N.Angel one, but I'm too lazy today. I made the rest in the past. Maybe I could make one tomorrow.

And yes, Tegomass just released a new single, Tanabata Matsuri. Quite a cute song, but their images are sort of... unbecoming... Not cool. Oh well... >_>

Diary Entry - 18 July 2009
[~Sakae Buffet & Sentosa Beach~]

Back from a day of tiring and enjoyable activities. Went out early to get our Sushi buffet at Sakae at Dhoby Ghaut. Ate so much and it was so filling. I must have exceeded the worth, so I'm happily full and satisfied. Sat there from 11.45am to 2.30pm thereabouts.

Then went to Sentosa with them, but Chongwei joined in a while later at Vivo City. Didn't bring any extra shirts or pants, so I tried not to get wet, but I still got wet somehow while playing with the sand. Built a giant mound of sand for nothing, and just sat around, enjoying the sea breeze and looking at the sea. The sea is a magnificent thing indeed.

Well, spent almost the whole day out, and the beach is indeed marvelous. Left at around 6pm and went back to HarborFront Centre to have a drink before taking a bounce train home.

Diary Entry - 17 July 2009
[~BAMBINO & BANG BIO~]

Lousy title, I know.

Slept so late yesterday that I was so giddy this morning. Gotten back our Biology Papers, A and E-Maths Papers 1, and I got to know my grade for Chemistry.

So, why do I BANG BIO? Because my Biology sucked. Somehow I only got a 69.6 or 70.0, depends on how Mrs Choo does the calculations. That's sad, somehow I could do the questions, but I just got them wrong. *sighs*

A-Maths was good, I got 70/80 for Paper 1. Mr Goh wrote 69/80, but he miscounted 1 mark on one page. So there. :D

E-Maths was better. 78/80 for Paper 1. The 2 marks gone were such a heartache. First, the question was saying that 120n is a perfect square. Find the smallest possible integer value of n. I used trial and error, and I got 30. But I wrote the answer as n=3. =.=

And the other, I wrote down the working as n(P union R), but I calculated the answer for n(P intersect R) for Set Theory. Those were my marks. DAMN.

We did not get back Chemistry, but Mdm Yeo said I got an A1 somehow. Quite happy for the first paper of the day. Well, then there's still A-Maths Paper 2 and Physics, both of which I'm quite worried for.

Oh, and Miss Kaur said that I passed my SBQ by a small margin somehow. She said the SBQ was very hard, and it was an impressive feat that 11 out of the 45 students in our class passed it. I'm so happy to be one of them. Well, maybe because the topic was quite related, my Mum's favourite at that. XD

Alright, BAMBINO. Just BREAKERZ's song some time this year. It's so catchy and cool. I shall post the live performance of it, and DAIGO sings really well live. And, I've compared the live version and the PV version, they sounded subtly different at various parts. So yes, it was live.

Pardon it for being small, but because the video was in widescreen, so the dimensions were hard to fix. And I love the "Aww!" parts. :D

Qunjie was planning to go out somewhere nice and beautiful like Sentosa tomorrow, but I haven't received any details at all, and I think they haven't decided where to go, so I shall sit and do my own stuff.

Diary Entry - 16 July 2009
[~Pokemon, Prelims, Romantica~]

Well, hasn't posted anything since Monday. Was quite busy with a lot of stuff on my hands. Yes, Suzuki-sensei said that by playing or watching movies, we are qualified to call ourselves as busy. So I was this past few days, playing Pokemon Platinum, studying a bit here and there for Prelims 1, and started watching Junjou Romantica yesterday.

Speaking of that, really, there's nothing so wrong about watching a Boys Love anime. Just watching doesn't mean you have to be part of it right. The plot of that show is great, and the characters' love for each other despite them not adhering to social norms is something to behold in my opinion. Well, Romeo and Juliet became such a great hit for having two lovers who defy social norms, I don't see why we should not appreciate Boys Love. It's just an anime anyway. They have their rights to fall in love with anyone, as long as both parties are willing, I think it's okay.

Pokemon Platinum is another hit. Okay, my emulator is sort of sucky and slow, but the game is good. Still at 6 badges because I can't bring myself to play for long each time. And there was school. My party now consists of Torterra, Staraptor, Gastrodon, Probopass, Houndoom, and a Bibarel (for HM moves). All except Bibarel are at around level 40. I know, their levels are low, but I'm still training. Still quite a long way until the Pokemon League.

Right, Prelims are OVER. Prelim 1, at least. Guess there is a 4-week break before we face another hurdle, but I'll just have to get past it no doubt. I shall recharge up these 4 weeks, and my birthday is just around the corner. Just great that I get to celebrate it without Prelims.

Diary Entry - 13 July 2009
[~Downward Spiral~]

What's wrong with me? Seriously. Lady Luck is on holidays. First I was late for school, then this morning, someone woke me up before 5am by opening my room door, and I had to stay awake since then. It was E.Geography and A-Maths Paper 2 today. *yells*

Then, for some odd reasons, I had a diarrhoea this whole day. I had the same breakfast as usual, nothing happened. But my stomach started acting up during the last 30 minutes for E.Geography, and then it came again during A-Maths. What's wrong, totally.

Well, at least the good thing was that I could do the Geography paper. A-Maths was... well, I don't know how to solve a few questions, but the rest of the class didn't seem very much better either, so that's that.

Came home and decided that the best thing I could do was to sleep to avoid encountering any unlucky things. So I slept. Woke up, watched DAIGO's episodes on Shimura Zoo, while he took care of a neglected penguin called PenPen for 4 months before releasing it back to the penguin enclosure. It was so cute. Penguins are great. Piplup included, LOL.

Anyways, it's Physics Paper 2 tomorrow. I shall do a bit of studying tomorrow... Or later. Damn myself. I hate myself.

Diary Entry - 8 July 2009
[~Not So Lucky Day~]

Damn. WHY?!?! LATE AGAIN. Twice this year, despite me having never been late for school ever in the past. And there was Prelims this morning. Woke up only at 7.30am because my alarm clock got turned off while I changed the tone this morning. DAMN. *smacks head*

Today was Chemistry Paper 2 and A-Maths Paper 1. Chemistry was hard, everyone said so. Mdm Yeo was giggling away at the end of the day. Gee.

A-Maths was doable, but not exactly easy. I think I can get an A1, but probably a low one. I didn't think of some methods, so the answer was wrong or something. Well, Qunjie's with me. XD

Tomorrow is E-Maths Paper 1, followed by Biology Paper 2. Man, Prelims... I'm not even studying for Biology. I still have a Japanese Composition to write. Due tomorrow. But I don't know what to write, not how to. Dang...

Everything's a mess. I must make it a point to set both alarms from today onwards. NO MORE LATE FOR SCHOOL, EVER.

I shall get ready to print my Book Review and watch some TV dramas now. Doing All Right~

Alright, that was a lame title. But really, I can remember this day every year because 4 Japanese musicians share this birthday~

They are Akanishi Jin from KAT-TUN, Masuda Takahisa from NEWS/Tegomasu, Nakamura Yuri from GARNET CROW, and Gackt! Happy Birthday, wahaha!

Anyways, as you might notice, I have changed my Music Player from the playlist one to this video one, and the tracks are slightly different as well. All of them are either PVs or live performances. Of course, all the birthday stars get at least one video in there. Enjoy the videos and the songs because they rock!

Haven't done any work yet. So not feeling like doing anything. *sighs* WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!

Diary Entry - 3 July 2009
[~Sine Curvy Mood~]

The mood today was like a sine curve. Started off in the morning as quite lethargic because it was Prelim 1 English Papers 1 and 2. And I forgot to bring my thermometer to school because I changed my bag. Damn. Ended up going downstairs to take my temperature.

Paper 1 was quite a breeze, Situational Writing was normal like always and the Composition part was incredible. Inspiration came endlessly while I just wrote on and on~ Wrote 6 pages of bombastic randomness about Freedom. My story was about me being kept under pressure at home because of my strict mother, and how I longed for freedom which I deemed as happiness. I finally acquired my freedom, but the ephemeral happiness soon revealed a face of distress. Then I began to understand how noble my mother was and looked forward to return home. Something like that. That was when it sort of went up to the peak of the graph.

Paper 2 sucked totally. The passage was ridiculous. Something about the dead, then about some Egyptian king. The only part I truly understood for Passage A was the part which mentioned that "Michael Jackson's "Thriller" should be played in the background." or something. But hey, was this paper set after he died?

Anyways, that was when the graph went to the rock bottom because the whole level seemed to have flunked it.

Then it was Qi Guang's and Kai Ling's birthday celebration. Had a nice cake and the two birthday stars were totally made a fool of, but they seemed to have enjoyed it lots. Happy Birthday you two!

After that was lunch at McDonald's. It was a sight to behold. All the fries and drinks and chilli sauce and burgers stacked up accordingly. One whole tray of fries shared by everyone. It was fun!

Anyways, that's like all for today. Watched more Pokemon anyways. Shall sign off now. Good Day!

Diary Entry - 2 July 2009
[~Prologue of Prelims~]

Few more hours until paper starts. English Paper is tomorrow. Tension is rising again!!!

Really, English papers are weird. You don't know how to prepare for them besides reading up on the formats and some good phrases, you feel that you are at ease, but then you worry for it because you always feel that there is not enough to prepare yourself for. So, it's contradicting.

Had a nice 2 hours nap just now because it was raining so nicely outside. I love listening to the symphony of the rain in my room. It's relaxing.

Woke up and had dinner at 5+pm, then slacked until Pokemon showed. Watched that last episode for Diamond and Pearl, then went to watch the following episodes online. I love Pokemon! But I missed all the other episodes in Johto and the front part of Sinnoh. Gaah.

Didn't have Japanese lessons today because Suzuki-sensei is under quarantine after returning from Japan. Apparently, her father passed away during the holidays and she had to stay there until 28 June. And she came back and got quarantined, so she could not come for lessons and we had to do it online. Anyways, she called me the other day to inform me. I was quite taken aback while I received the call because I could not figure out who exactly was I speaking to. Then she said she was Suzuki. That was when the Japanese conversation started. And the work for Japanese kind of scares me too. I was flabbergasted at the sight of the whole list of vocabulary she has posted. I should not have slacked so much during the holidays. Why do I always live to regret yesterday? Heavens, help me.

Anyways, I don't know what to study for. Read a bit of Mdm Sue's materials and I guess that's it. It's all up to my creative juices which I hope will work tomorrow. It's hard to say.

English always seems so easy until you get back your papers. Then reality strikes that what you thought was correct turned out half-baked. It's saddening. And thieves have to sneak because they don't want others to notice them, because they are stealing things, WHICH IS A WRONGDOING. Without the wrongdoing part, you don't score a mark. Don't they have common sense that stealing is wrong?

I shall try to improve my English from now onwards. Some subjects are just so hard to study for. Higher Chinese is another hurdle, and my Combined Humanities. Without all these, my life would have been more relaxing. Getting all A1s is not an easy feat for a lazy kid such as myself. *shakes head*

Also, have been quite hyped up on Amagi Goe once again after falling in love with it again as a result of investigating it with Jane, a fellow Ishikawa Sayuri fan. Wahaha.

So, I shall let all enjoy the awesomeness of Amagi Goe!
